2023
2023 Inversion - Columbia Gorge AVA - 13.1% ABV
Inversion is our ever evolving house white blend. While the blend may, and likely will, change over the coming vintages, the core goals firmly remain attaining freshness, crisp acidity and intriguing aromatic complexity with each iteration. The 2023 blend consists of 70% direct-pressed Chardonnay from South Hill Vineyards, located at the very top of Underwood Mountain, and 30% direct-pressed Riesling from White Salmon Vineyard, located on the lower slopes of the same mountain. These two elements were fermented separately, then blended and aged in two neutral 500L French Acacia puncheons. 100 cases were bottled in September of 2024.

2023 Divergence - Columbia Gorge AVA - 13.7% ABV
Divergence is the red companion to Inversion in that the blend may, and likely will, change over the coming vintages. 2023’s Divergence consists of 75% carbonically macerated Syrah and 25% 7 day skin-contact Chardonnay. Both lots of fruit were sourced from Underwood Mountain’s White Salmon Vineyard. This edition appreciates a good decant and some air before being enjoyed, so open well ahead of time.

2023 Sou’Wester - Columbia Valley AVA - 13% ABV
Sou’Wester is our take on a Rhône-style red blend, born from a love of the wines of this region of France and the desire to use Washington-grown fruit to create our own interpretation. The 2023 blend consists of 50% Syrah and 50% Mourvèdre, both sourced from Sunland Vineyard in Yakima. The fruit from Sunland Vineyard is both LIVE and Salmon Safe certified, retaining a nice balance of fruit and acidity without becoming too big or jammy. It is aged for one year in a combination of 70% neutral oak and 30% recoopered barrique. A perfect wine to accompany red meats and wild game.

2023 Nor’Easter - Columbia Gorge AVA - 12.7% ABV
Nor’Easter comes from the oldest and smallest vineyard on the estate and is made from the vineyard as a whole, coming in at 40% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are slightly more protected from the wind than the other two vineyards on the estate, but still see their fair share of it. Enough to force the vines to find their way down through the fractured basalt, sometimes mere feet underneath the topsoil. The cooler nights around harvest time allows these varietals to hang on to their natural acidity, which lends to a nicely balanced wine, not often exceeding 13.5% in potential alcohol. Aged for 12 months in neutral French oak barrique.
