Our estate Vineyards
Southerly Bench
A 2.3-acre vineyard of head-trained Grenache Noir, exposed to all the wind the Gorge has to offer. These dry-farmed vines reach deep, producing hardy and well-developed fruit.
We produce two wines from this vineyard: a direct-pressed rosé, fermented and aged in Novum Ceramics amphorae, and a red wine aged in a combination of neutral oak, large-format barrels, and Oregon oak.
Nor’Easter
In this 1-acre vineyard, the northeastern most on the estate, are ~20-year-old vines comprised of 45% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is made as a field blend, and while it closely resembles the traditional composition of a Super Tuscan, it remains uniquely Columbia Gorge. The vines are planted in very shallow soil, with fractured basalt just underneath, forcing the vines to grow deep to find water.
Sou’Wester
Planted in 2024, this vineyard consists of 100% Clone 27 Syrah. Oriented to the southwest to allow for easier wind passage through the vine rows (hence, Sou'Wester), this vineyard boasts possibly the best view of all three vineyards on the estate. We are excited to see what these vines have in store for us in the coming years, where it will eventually make up the Syrah portion of our Sou’Wester Red Blend.
